On the subject of buying pet meds on the “gray market” , there are 3 things that the TV Peddlers of Pet Pills don’t mention:
1) Mail order pills do not qualify for guarantees from the drug company. That means that if your pet gets sick, you pay for it out of your own pocket. If your pet gets heartworm under our direct Veterinary Supervision, the drug company pays for it.
2) You must come in and get your pet tested for heartworm before giving your pet any pills (OR YOU COULD REALLY HARM YOUR PET).
3) You may actually pay more in the long run for the health care of your pet. Medication sales defray other costs. Your Pet’s Doctor has made a BIG investment in a local pet heath care facility ( instead of noisy TV ads).
